Moisture in Forage | LINASSON

The quality of forage is a top priority for Linasson. We prepare all our shipments meticulously to achieve optimal results. Moisture is one of the key factors that affects the preservation of sun-cured alfalfa and other types of forage.

Our team conducts constant moisture measurements on the alfalfa bales. If a bale shows an “L”, which stands for “Low”, it indicates that the moisture at that point is very low an ideal level for storage.

When our animal nutrition products receive an “L” in the measurements, it means the material is dry enough to be safely shipped to its destination. In addition to the “L” indicator, the meter shows the exact percentage and temperature, allowing us to confirm that the forage is within the optimal range below 20% moisture.
